NOA DG CONGRATULATES NIGERIANS ON 53RD ANNIVERSARY
The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Mr. Mike Omeri has joined other well-meaning leaders to congratulate all Nigerians on the event of the commemoration of Nigeria’s 53rd Independence Anniversary, urging Nigerians to give honour to our past leaders by being committed to peace in our country. Omeri made this call as Nigerians prepare to celebrate the birth of our great country ahead of events lined up to mark the nation’s Independence. He also enjoined Nigerians to sustain the current momentum in the face of present challenges, adding that the resolve by all Nigerians would strengthen the bond that makes us one Nigeria. The NOA boss challenged Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration to reflect on the good path and sacrifices that our past heroes have made to make Nigeria the proud country we all cherish today. He called on Nigerians to continue to support the present administration’s efforts to deliver on its promises in line with the Transformation Agenda, adding that several policies by government have already been manifested positively. The DG NOA urged all Nigerians in all works of life to be law abiding and security conscious, noting that government had put in place necessary measures to ensure hitch-free celebrations. He said Nigerians should endeavour to wave their flags with pride and come out in their numbers to mark the National Day.
