The Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. Mike Omeri has received with shock the news of the death of veteran Nollywood actor, Enebeli Elebuwa who died after a protracted illness. Mr. Omeri said the death of the rare-breed “Andrew Checking Out” protagonist, “whose work will continue to inspire patriotism in Nigerians”, was a great loss to the nation. He said his death came at a time when his sense of patriotism and wealth of experience was most needed to guide younger Nollywood operatives in their contribution towards re-orientating Nigerians to always do the right thing.
The NOA Director General, who had earlier visited the actor in his hospital ward in Abuja to wish him speedy recovery, said the NOA family wished Elebuwa had survived the illness but takes solace in the lasting legacy of patriotism which he had left behind. He urged the family of the late actor to find comfort in his legacies and prayed God to grant them and all Nigerians the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
